Yesterday was Leighton's school trip to the Pumpkin Patch! We were all so excited to head down to the farm for some good ole fall fun :)
Oh my, look how these sweet girls have changed since last year's trip. STOP GROWING UP GIRLS. That's an order ;)
Leighton loves school so much this year. She talks about the girls in her class (and some boys too...sigh) all the time and just loves hanging out with her friends so much. It is amazing at how social she is becoming. She can be really shy around adults but with kids her own age she is little miss social butterfly. Oh how I love her!
When she saw one of her friends from her class she ran over, gave her a huge smile and grabbed her hand to hold. They held hands for most of the day. Her mom and I about melted. Is this what having little girls is all about? Because, if so, I'll have another 5 please ;)
Little sis was all about getting in on the action this year. She particularly enjoyed picking out her own pumpkin. She found one that was just right!
Big sis had a much harder time finding a pumpkin that was just right. Seriously, it took her about 30 minutes and she searched the whole patch only to finally settle on the smallest pumpkin there. Haha, she loves a "baby" pumpkin!
After finding our pumpkins we let the girls play on the haystacks. And, who would have thought that little miss wild child would not be a fan! Instead of climbing the stack with big sis she preferred to sit comfortably in her stroller and sip on her milk. I may NEVER figure out this child ;)
Big sis was a fan of acting like a wild woman on the hay :) I should have taken a picture of the "hay bath" they had that she was swimming in with her friends. She has the hives to prove it was fun.
We stopped off to pet the goats before heading home and Leighton actually fed them herself! Big girl moment!
Yesterday was our 4th wedding anniversary and spending the day at the pumpkin patch with our little family that we created was pretty perfect. These two little girls have completed us in more ways than we EVER thought possible. I love creating memories with them year after year!
