Gracen has adjusted so well to her life in Lexington. She seriously loved every single moment at her new preschool and she learned so much. She can write her name and all letters, knows all letter sounds, writes numbers, can count as high as 50 (she still gets a little tripped up at 13, 14, 15 but after that she's good hehe) and she is starting to teach herself addition. Her memory truly amazes me. She has become our little thinker, constantly asking questions about life and what things mean. She likes to know how all things work and is constantly telling me how things are made. She wants to read SO bad and loves looking at books and listening to Leighton read. She has worked so hard on her speech with her therapists and we have seen a huge improvement this year. Go Gracie!
She was excited for her graduation day and we were too! I had her wear the dress Leighton wore for her PreK graduation. Since she has an August birthday we are having her do another year of preschool (more like a transitional kindergarten) so it wasn't her "official" preschool graduation but there is no way the dress will fit her next year haha. My girl is tall!
She was SO cute singing her songs and smiling at us. She is a little shy but enjoys a good day when the spotlight is all on her :) She has worked so hard this year and we are just so proud of her. This little girl is full of joy!
Hayes didn't get an invitation to the graduation (poor wild man) so we had to get our family picture after the program when we picked him up from Grammy & Poppy's. These days I just take what I can get in the picture department haha!
And finally, because I love comparison pics...Here is Gracen on her first and last day of school.
And one of Gracen & Leighton to compare. Sisters? Yep, I think that's for sure :)
Oh Gracen, my wild child, I am so thankful for the little girl you are. You make me so happy and I'm excited we get another year of cuddles before you start kindergarten. Happy Summer!
