Monica & Rob get MARRIED!

I realize my sweet little blog has been forgotten neglected the past few weeks. I blame Gracen the wild woman. Most of my time is spent chasing her through the house and maybe I am just a tad lazy these days...

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago one of my best friends from high school , Monica, got married. We traveled to Columbus to celebrate her big day and it was.SO.much.fun!!

I was a bridesmaid and Leighton was one of four flower girls. We went up on Friday for the rehearsal dinner and had so many laughs with good friends. My girlfriends and I have been best friends since high school. I don't know another group of girls whose friendship has remained this strong through the years. We have spanned different colleges, states, cities, engagements, marriages, babies, hardships and just a variety of life experiences. But when we all reunite with each other it is like nothing has changed. There is always so much laughter and love between us. I'm pretty sure I had a permanent smile fixed on my face the entire weekend.

She had four flower girls and they were all so adorable and well behaved. They actually stood up at the front with the bridesmaids during the ceremony and did so good. I was so relieved haha. You never know how Leighton is going to act. Three year olds are tricky like that ;)

Leighton fell asleep about an hour before the wedding started. I started to freak out a little (imagine that...) because I was afraid she was going to be a bear when she woke up, but, I am happy to report my worrying was for nothing! We fed her a few (or 20) jellybeans on the way to pictures and she found her second wind.

The beautiful couple and newlyweds! The flowers and decor were so beautiful and food was delicious. That mixed with a happy couple equals wedding success to me :)

Cupcakes! I know someone who was very, very, VERY excited about there being cupcakes. I'll give you one guess who that was...

Little Leighton Layne loves cupcakes. She may or may not have had a handful of them. They were mini after all and made her very happy :) It was the least I could do for her after she was such a good girl all day!

First dance as husband and wife. I love this part of weddings! I still remember dancing with Toby at our wedding and how in love I felt and how overwhelmed with happiness I was. I love witnessing this special moment with other couples.

We looked over during their first dance and noticed all the flower girls were sitting together and watching them dance. What an adorable picture!

Someone loves weddings :)

Family picture. It's rare that Toby and I get to spend one on one time with Leighton. Gracen stayed behind at the hotel with her Nana all weekend so we were able to have lots of Leighton time. She is becoming such an amazing little person!

Some of the girls. Andrea (in red) came from Chicago to celebrate. Always fun having all the girls together!

Missy caught the bouquet. Yay! Funny side story, Monica caught the bouquet at my wedding and her top slipped down when she reached up for it! Ahh! Dang strapless bridesmaid dress hehe.

My sweet best friend, Becky, is due to welcome her baby girl in just a few weeks. She was glowing with her little baby bump. Her and David are such a sweet couple and are going to be such fun parents. Counting down the days until I can kiss baby G's cheeks!

The highlight of Lei's night (weekend really) was getting the ring bearer, Jaxson, to dance with her. She tried her hardest all night long to get him on the dance floor and finally he agreed! I think her excitement was written all over her face. She was a smiling, jumping, dancing machine!

She danced up until the last song was played and teared up when we had to leave. She takes after her Mama, we both love a good wedding and THIS was an awesome wedding! Sharing it with lifelong friends was really the cherry on top!
