We started our week wearing our festive attire each day. Lei was so happy Halloween week was finally here!
The girls were very interested in the pumpkin carving but no one was very eager to get their hands dirty. They were happy watching Mommy and Daddy do the work :)
While Toby and I were hard at work on
Did I mention we were Forrest Gump & Jennay :) Our friends Tim & Kristin had their annual Halloween party and it was a great time as always. My parents kept the girls for the weekend so we had some kid free fun and some much needed sleeping in :) Happy Halloween to us!
Back to the pumpkins...they turned out pretty cute. Mine was the much easier of the two. Toby took on the challenge of carving a UK pumpkin. Go Big Blue!
This was the first year Leighton actually chose her costume! I had plans for little miss muffet and her little spider but Leighton quickly changed her mind to something much more exciting...
SPIDERMAN! Luckily, Gracen's preordered spider costume still went along with the theme. So, we had spiderman and a little spider.
Gracen was NOT impressed with her spider pettiskirt but after some coaxing I managed to get her to keep it on for a few minutes haha. Little sis is much more picky about her clothing!
By the time I got her in the spider shirt she had mostly given in :) Poor Mommy tormenting her baby all for a picture or two :)
Spider
Our little spider was sick with an upper respiratory infection so didn't actually get to go trick or treating :( I was sad because I know she would've loved it but I couldn't risk her getting more sick. Already excited about next year :) She was very happy to hang out on the porch for a little while and pass out candy to the visitors! Leighton was too shy to hand out candy but had no problem showing everyone her superhero moves. She is so funny!
After an hour of handing out candy my little Spidergirl finally gathered up the courage to go door to door. She is a shy little thing. We left our little spidey home with Daddy (her favorite person) and headed out in our neighborhood.
We have so many little kids that live around us and it was SO adorable to see so many out and dressed up. The little Doc McStuffins was my favorite, she was too cute. Leighton wanted to try her mask before we left!
The mask was a little hard to see through so she decided not to wear it out. She still looked pretty awesome though! We bundled up and headed out. When we walked up to the first door she totally froze when they answered. She would whisper "thank you" as we left each house. She kept saying, "I'm shy Mommy, I'm really shy." How can you argue with that?!
Candy left on the porch without having to talk to the scary strangers?!! This was her kind of house :)
We only made it down the street before heading back but she was more than content with all her candy. She was excited to get home and show little sis.
It was a fun night but I wouldn't expect any less from these two :) They are two fun chicks!
