This weekend we had our family over to celebrate Hayes' First Birthday. Or, as we've been calling it...Hayes' Rookie Year :)
I knew for a while I wanted to have the Hayes man a little basketball party. Of course the colors had to include UK blue :)
Speaking of lucky...the fact that all THREE of these littles are mine. So much love!!
I had him a tshirt made on Etsy and he wore little basketball shorts and his new Jordan's from Aunt Ky Ky. LOOK at that little boy (be still my heart).
Had to get some pics of my big guy before his guests arrived. I wish I could bottle up his cuteness. It would go for a lot I know :)
For food we had all the things you would find at a stadium... hot dogs, pizza, nachos, popcorn, cotton candy...and we added a few others like salad and fruit and cupcakes :) Hayes' favorite part of his party was screaming at anyone eating for a bite. He is happiest with a plate full of food. Truly!
Cake time! I had a minor mishap when I went to pick up his cupcakes that afternoon. They were supposed to be UK blue with orange sprinkles but when I got there they were dark navy (almost black) with orange and green sprinkles.......... Seriously, they looked like Halloween cupcakes haha. All I could do was laugh and be thankful it happened to my third kid :) Nothing seems as big of a deal with the third. Luckily I was able to find some white icing ones in the freezer and grabbed some ball toppers to make a quick switch.
We were so excited to see what he would do with his cake. The boy loves or LIVES to eat!
I mean look at this cheese the moment he gets into his high chair. He knew something great was about to come :)
He was very serious while everyone was singing Happy Birthday. He just looked all around.
But it didn't take him long to get down to business. He was so funny eating and if you tried to take it away he would SCREAM. That's our Hayes Man!
We just love our boy so much!
All done and orange :) Full belly, happy guy!
Next, we moved on to presents. He had a little fun with unwrapping the first one but after that he just wanted to play with his Daddy's basketball. Those two will be shooting hoops before we know it :)
I didn't so the best job at taking pictures of all our family but I did manage to take them of the Grandparents & Great Grands in the building :)
Oh my, Hayes Man, I seriously can not believe you are one! Never in my wildest dreams did I think having a little guy would make me feel so complete. I am so lucky to be your Mommy.
Speaking of lucky...the fact that all THREE of these littles are mine. So much love!!
And even more luck...my precious family of five all together celebrating our guy.
This face...this adorable little person with so much love to give and enough personality to fill a room. Our Hayeser! We love you so! Happy Birthday big guy!
