Yesterday, little miss turned 20 months. Gulp, 4 months away from the big 2! I can't handle it. She is becoming a little girl (bye, bye, baby). I thought it would be fun to share 20 things she is doing at 2-0. Here we go...
1. LOVES to play with baby dolls. By far her favorite toy. She is such a little mother.
2. Can tell you pretty much what any animal says. Newest sounds are fish & elephant.
3. Doesn't like to be looked at when she is a) extremely tired, b) in her car seat or c) being rocked to sleep. It's been like this since she was a little baby. Can you spell D-I-V-A?
4. Hates the church nursery and will cry until we come back (bless her heart). Praying this gets better with time.
5. Loves cookies, especially Oreos. Has a favorite picture book and she turns to the cookie page first every single time.
6. Can point out all the pictures in her "Baby's First 100 Words" book. Still working on saying all the names but she can point and call by name; book, baby, boat, plane, pig, cow, bike, banana, cat, dog, fish, ball, cookie.
7. Sleeps about 12 hours a night and usually take one 2-3 hour nap a day.
8. Gets really grumpy before bed and naptime.
9. Loves to color and draw with pens/crayons.
10. Not a big fan of television. Will watch some of the following; "The Price is Right," "iCarly," "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and some cooking shows on the Food Network. Really doesn't like cartoons and will bring you the remote to change the channel if they are on.
11. Can kick a ball and loves to play outside. Cries when it is time to go in.
12. Loves to read and look at books. Favorites seem to be, "If You Give a Pig a Pancake," "Where is Baby," & "Peek A Boo Zoo."
13. Loves milk. Will bring you her cup and ask for "mooooore milllk."
14. Has started a new fake cry when she doesn't get her way. She cries and puts her face in her hands like she is devastated.
15. Loves wearing headbands and hats. Will randomly find them around the house and puts them on by herself.
16. Loves to listen to the baby on the Doppler. Will run and get the Doppler and gel when I ask her if she wants to, "listen to the baby?"
17. Loves to have her back, arms or cheeks rubbed, especially when she is tired. If you take your hand away she will whine and put it back to keep rubbing.
18. Has the best laugh in the WORLD. It's like a giggle meets a belly laugh. So adorable. She still thinks "Peek A Boo" is a hilarious game.
19. Favorite meal is breakfast (oatmeal, nutri-grain waffles, toast, kashi cereal bars) and is a picky eater the rest of the day. Especially at dinner time.
20. Gives the cutest smile when asked to show her "pretty smile."
She's perfect from head to toe and brings so much joy to our lives each and everyday. We love you baby girl!
Henry does a fake cry now too! It cracks me up. He also fake crashes his ride-on truck then lays on the ground all shell shocked until we ask what happened!
