Sales well that ends well...

Last weekend the girls and I packed up our car full of JUNK and headed to Lexington for a garage sale at my sister's house. After loading and unloading and pricing and laying out everything and waiting for customers (err paying customers) I quickly learned garage sales are not for me. I made twice as much money taking my clothes to sell at consignment after the sale was over. Did I mention that I got a flat tire and had to squeeze in a doctor visit for Leighton who hurt her knee (she is fine) all in matter of minutes on Saturday. Cause that happened too! S.t.r.e.s.s. Oh well, you live and you learn ;) At least my girls got in some quality cousin time with Kyle and Lyla.

Gracen had her first snow cone from Big Cousin Lyla's snow cone machine and we learned she can totally drink out of a straw!

Lyla thought it was so fun to feed Gracen and I think the feeling was mutual :) Yummy snow cones...a great way to kick off June!

Friday night, all the kids came over to my parents house to eat dinner and play. The girls loved their matching shirts especially since they were their hero/big brother/cousin Kyle's. Both girls love him so much and he is so so so sweet with them. Leighton bosses him around and insists he hold her and hugs and kisses him nonstop. I try to tell him not to let her be so bossy with him and to tell her 'no" but he says he just can't. "She's just a baby Aunt Mandy." A spoiled baby at that ;)

While I'm not so much a fan of having a garage sale I sure am a fan of shopping at them :) I managed to score some great goodies (Scooby Doo life jacket, mesh baby float with shade and a spongebob tv!) from my sister while she was cleaning out closets for the sale. I also bought an umbrella stroller from her best friend for $5 that was just what I was looking for (has a basket!) so I'd say the lack of money making was worth it in the end. Not to mention the cousin time. Oh how I love seeing that little crew together. And the three girls...I smell t.r.o.u.b.l.e. in a few years. Stinking sweet trouble :)
