Last year Leighton was so excited to see the pumpkins, this year she was SOOO excited to see her friends. She even told me that she may not be able to talk to me very much because she will have to be with her friends O_O I know, she is four going on fourteen. The girl loves her some school and socializing ;)
As soon as we got off the tractor Leighton ran off with her friend to find a pumpkin. Toby also ran off on his search for the biggest pumpkin in the patch lol. All I can say is thank goodness for little sis.
This little angel was happy to hang with Mama. Love my little sidekick! She took finding the perfect pumpkin very seriously. Some were too big, some too small and others too dirty but eventually she did find the perfect one.
Eventually Leighton and Toby made their way back to us. Perfect pumpkins in hand :)
Leighton didn't have much time for my photo ops but little sis was happy to smile with her pumpkin. She loved carrying her own like a big girl and may have said, "MIIIIINE" a hundred times haha. I can't get over how grown up she looks in these pictures. Where is my BAYBAY?
After the patch we shopped around in the store. I got some yummy red tomatoes (they were perfect) and some green tomatoes to fry this weekend (wish me luck). Toby got some fresh peaches and fudge and we both got a glass bottle of Ale-8 (the ONLY way to drink an Ale-8). The girls both got little baby pumpkins to paint and some candy.
We took our obligatory sign pictures to see how they've grown from last year ;) They both sure are getting big!
I tried to ignore them when they
After the germ loaded petting zoo it was time for another favorite activity that makes me cringe...jumping around in the hay (ok maybe I still am a tad scroogie about fall).
It really was a good day though! One that I was happy to share with my favorite people. Happy Fall!
