Leighton's First Day of Kindergarten

Today Miss Leighton Layne started Kindergarten! And we all survived :) I wanted to cry when I saw her hugging her Daddy goodbye but I didn't actually tear up until I was hugging her goodbye and she said, "I'm going to miss you so much today Mommy...and baby Hayes." Heart melted. She woke up in a great mood and appeased me with a few pictures before we headed off to school.

I walked her inside and dropped her off in her classroom. I can't believe my baby girl is old enough to be away from me all day...I mean go to school all day :) I know she will have a great year and make tons of friends and learn so much. Excited for this next chapter with our sweet girl. She really is such a blessing to our family.

Love you Leighton Layne and can't wait for you to hop off that bus and into my arms this afternoon :)
