She's been practicing sitting up for about a month now. It's where she wants to be at all times. If you are holding her on your lap she will strain to get upright. I kept saying she was doing her daily crunches :)
She thinks the view is better and I would have to agree. Even if it DOES mean that my teeny tiny baby is growing up...again.
Up until this week, she could only last a minute or two at a time before she would slowly fall over :)
But, we kept trying everyday and before long she was getting the hang of it and very happy about her new trick :)
She loves hanging out on a blanket and watching Big Sis. She thinks she is the absolute coolest. She can balance herself for several minutes now and even catch herself if she starts to slide over. Yesterday she lasted for 15 minutes. She's getting strong!
A few times she's been brave enough to lean down and get a toy and bring herself back to the sitting position. Such a big girl. Growing up, one new trick at a time :) Next up, crawling...I don't think I'm ready for that yet!
