She slept in until 10 am and we serenaded her in her room when she woke up and she was so embarrassed. She hid her face in her pillow until it was over haha. Then we got her ready and brought her downstairs to see her presents. Leighton was SO excited for her to see them. SO EXCITED. Gray still had sleepy eyes when she came downstairs but she was so smiley and sweet. You could tell she just knew there was something special about the day...
She was so adorable and coy coming downstairs. Be still my heart :) Her big surprise was waiting for her...a train table! She is obsessed with playing with the train table at Von Maur and we really had no idea what to get her soooo VOILA. A train table for my baby!
She got right to work playing! Big Sis was happy to help out. Gray hadn't been playing more than 20 minutes when she went to the kitchen and got some goldfish crackers to haul in the cargo train haha. She is a serious conductor.
We had a few little things for her to open because every kid loves tearing apart gifts on their birthday :) Gracen tore the paper in the tiniest pieces. So funny. We got her a few puzzles (her latest obsession) and a Caillou DVD. Oh how she loves the little bald guy.
After a little more playing it was time for lunch and a birthday cupcake. She again did not like being sung to and ran straight into her Daddy's arms. She is the biggest Daddy's girl I've ever seen. Not that you could tell by these pictures :)))
She made Lei blow out her candles and then she was back to being all smiles. Another little sugar bug :) She did take much longer to eat her cupcake than Big Sis. Lei had her plate cleaned in 5 seconds flat. That girl has a sweet tooth on steroids!
Gracen's favorite part about her birthday is that I didn't make her take a nap hehe. Birthday girls don't have to miss out on anything! Lei, however, has been asleep for two hours lol. Now we are busy getting ready for her family party tomorrow. She is very excited for her Caillou party! I am excited for the birthday fun to continue all weekend. I am such a sucker for birthdays especially when they belong to my sweet little girls :)
