With a LOT of pictures :) First we had Christmas at our house with my parents, grandparents & sister, Kylee. They came to spend the night the Friday before Christmas and brought my favorite pizza on the planet...Donatos! The also brough a few (or fifty) gifts haha.
The girls loved opening presents a little early and Toby and I loved having all the gifts at our house and not having to pack and unload them :) It was so fun. Lei got her Calico Critters Townhouse, Nursery & Preschool and Gray got her Doc McStuffins Check Up Center. Plus about a hundred new outfits. Not kidding. The clothing fairies were out in full force this year haha. The frozen sisters from Aunt Ky Ky were a hit too.
They really got too many toys to name. Lucky little sisters!
On Sunday, the girls and I drove to Lexington to go to church with my sister, Robyn's family (Toby was at work and my parents went to the early service). The service had candles and my girls were amazed.
After church we went to Robyn's to watch Kyle and Lyla open gifts from my parents. The girls loved playing together.
Next up was Christmas Eve :) Toby, the girls, and I headed to an afternoon church service here in Louisville before heading to Lexington. The girls were sooo happy to be at Grammy's.
Loved having everyone together. Toby's parents come to Christmas Eve every year so we get to have everyone in one place :) We really missed my cousin Chelsi & her husband, Bobby. They were in Maryland with his family this year. My cousin Chase was in from NYC and my girls were obsessed with him as always. Fun times.
My favorite part of Christmas is being with family and watching my girls excitement as they play with their cousins and open gifts. They were on cloud 9 all day long!
Toby's parents came back with us to Louisville that night and we spent all of Christmas Day together. My girls LOVED waking up and seeing what Santa brought them. It was nice to lounge around in our PJs and not have to leave the house. It was the first Christmas I have ever done this my whole life haha. I'm sure we will be back to traveling next year but one year off was nice and relaxing :)
Santa surprised the girls with a pink itouch. Mrs. Claus was also surprised with this gift but Santa said he didn't tell her because he knew she would say NO haha. The girls loved it though. Leighton keeps telling everyone she got an iPhone lol. Santa also brought Leighton her baby bunk beds, swing and bassinet and Gracen her easel and art supplies. They had lots of fun playing with their new goodies.
They also loved seeing what Santa left in their stockings. Leighton could not believe Santa would bring her panties. How did he know what size haha.
After we ate breakfast we opened even more presents and then played and laid around all day. It was great.
So thankful to have my two precious girls and wonderful family to spend Christmas with. All in celebration of a sweet baby who came to save us ALL so many years ago. Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. --Luke 2:10-11
