Last weekend was particularly busy around our house. Leighton had a slumber party at her Aunt Ky-Ky's house and after we all went to the zoo. It was Gracen's first visit where she really seemed to know what was going on. She thought the animals were HILARIOUS. She wouldn't stop laughing at them. She also thought the thought of her sitting in a stroller was HILARIOUS! She spent a lot of time fighting me on that one. When she wasn't restrained she was having a grand ole time :)

Leighton brought her Spiderman binoculars (the Spiderman obsession is as strong as ever) from Aunt Ky-Ky and loved getting a close look at her favorite animals :) We have had our zoo membership for a year now and go to the zoo as often as possible. Leighton has been so many times she knows where all the animals. She loves to plan the whole trip including what animals we will see and where she will get cotton candy :) Love her and her sweet tooth!

The girls love visiting all their animal friends but I swear they would be just as happy to go to the zoo and play on the playground the entire time. Gracen probably went down the slide 100 times. Not joking. The girl LOVES to slide.

The girls directed us with their stellar map skills. Leighton loves to be in charge :) We finished the trip with some cotton candy. Leighton politely requested pink from the concession worker who had to dig through a new shipment to find some. Oops. Seriously though she knows what she wants and politely demands it.

We ended the day with dinner with my parents and a visit to Ky-Ky's apartment where Leighton was reunited with her little love, Votto (Kylee's chihuahua).

Just the first of many great days to be had this spring. If only the Louisville allergies would give us a break :))
