Chelsi and her husband, Bobby, live in Washington DC. They were only in town for a few days so we had to get a little creative with the shower (their visit was jammed packed!). My Mom, sister Kylee and me decided to throw her a co-ed BabyQ shower.
The weather didn't look like it was going to cooperate (thunderstorms...) but luckily the storms all held off and we had a great night celebrating Chelsi, Bobby and baby Rosco!
My Aunt & Uncle (Chelsi's parents) have the best backyard for a party. We decided to incorporate the Lil Man theme into the party with little mustaches all over and went with the typical BBQ color scheme of red & blue.
We had tons of delicious BBQ grilled by the original grill master and Granddad to be... We also had salad, fruit, potato salad, chips & dip, veggies, cupcakes and cookies. The spread was quite yummy! Bobby manned the bourbon bar up on the pool deck. Who says a baby shower can't be fun for men too ;)
We had a game table set up that guests could play on their own time. We had Baby Price Is Right, Guess that Mustache, Name that Baby Food and we had a raffle where everyone got to guess the date & weight of the baby and stamp their guess on a calendar.
All the guests signed a painted tire that my Uncle is going to turn into a planter so little Rosco can have his own little garden. Such a cute idea!
For favors we had little bags of popcorn with tags that said "Thank you! Chelsi is about to POP!"
They racked up on gifts :) So many cute things for the little guy. My girls thought it was their job to hand out the gifts and sweet Gray may have opened a few for Aunt Chelsi. Always the helper, my Gracen...
Chelsi and I had to take a bump pic together. Can't wait for our sweet boys to meet and become BFFs! I still can't believe I am having a little boy and getting to be pregnant with one at the same time as my cousin is totally God's timing!
And one of me alone...30 weeks! Say what?!! :)
It was so fun to have family in from all over! My cousin, Chase, flew in from NYC so my Aunt Jackie got to spend the weekend with all of her kids.
Speaking of kids...mine had a pretty good time. There is nothing they love more than a family party :) They were excited to wear their new cowgirl boots.
My cute husband was there too :) He managed to take a second out of playing cornhole to pose for a few pictures...
I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures of all the wonderful guests. Just trust me, they were great! I did manage to take a few more pictures of my family...
We had a great night celebrating Chelsi and Bobby and their sweet little man. I know they are going to be amazing parents and I can't wait for this next journey of their lives together to begin! Hurry up summer...we have a LOT to look forward to!!!
