Spring Happenings...

Happy Spring! We have been enjoying pretty much every moment of the sunshine and warmer temps. So far our spring has been packed full of fun adventures.

The girls met the Easter Bunny right before Easter. Both were SO excited and hopped right up to sit beside him. This is much different from years past ;) I guess a couple of trips to Disney helps to break the ice with a character meet!

Our biggest and best news this Spring has been that my Gracen girl is potty trained! Whoo HOO! We are over a month in now and it is glorious! She doesn't even ask for help just does everything on her own. Loving the temporary diaper duty freedom! She is such a big girl!

Our little fam also headed down to the river a few weeks back for a little Thunder Over Louisville fun. It's basically a huge fireworks show but there was also lots of fun little things for the girls to do during the day.

We jumped in every bounce house we saw, ate some fair food (funnel cake included hehe), watched the air show and then ended the night with some awesome fireworks.

A few weeks ago Gracen begged me to get her ears pierced. We were at a mall across town picking up an online order for our baby boy's nursery and when she saw the kiosk in the mall she asked if she could do it. I planned to just ignore her request but she would have NONE of it and before I knew it we had picked out earrings (little diamonds) and were going through with it. Before...During...After...

She was SO brave (no tears just a BIG scream haha) and has loved them ever since. Leighton is still way too hesitant to go through with it and I'm sure G's big scream didn't convince her of doing it anytime soon lol.

Speaking of Miss Leighton, she has been rocking it at soccer this year. She is SO much more comfortable playing and has even scored two goals this season.

She is still not so sure about getting in the middle of all the action but we can definitely see improvement over last season. She truly loves playing and that is all that matters!

She also picked out some pretty bright new kicks. She has ben begging for these shoes for a while and I finally got them for her. The girl was seriously lacking in the shoe department lately lol. In the last few weeks I've bought her 4 new pairs so I think she may be good...for now!

The girls and I had an impromptu visit to Daddy's work and both girls cried when we had to leave. The girls sure love time with their Daddy!

Gracen and I also finished up BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) this week. This year's study has been on Matthew and it has been so wonderful for both of us. Leaving this study feeling truly amazed and overwhelmed by God's love and grace. Gracen loved going to her class each week and being with her friends and learning about "JEEEEESUS." We are both looking forward to next year (little guy will get to go too).

And, in case you were wondering...I am still growing, growing, growing this sweet baby boy.

We have started working on his nursery and the girls have been trying to help us pick out a name ;)

I think we've decided to just see him before we choose a name. It will get to be a surprise for everyone! I passed my glucose test and celebrated with a DQ chocolate soft serve cone. OMG the LOVE!!!

There have also been park days with my sweet girls, DQ blizzards naps and hugs. Loving springtime with my favorite girls!

We have busy weeks ahead...a preschool graduation, baby shower, wedding, dance recital, soccer games and birthday parties AND a final trip to the beach (as a family of 4), OH MY. And then after all of that we have a tentative scheduled date to meet our sweet BOY! Ahh!

Busy but fun times ahead, just how we like it ;)
