25 weeks...
-Still get sick about once a week. This week the culprits were blueberry muffins & Reese's minis.
-Shortness of breath is still daily. Hoping my doctor will FINALLY do blood work this week and see if I'm anemic (I was with Leighton).
-Having some daily cramps, especially when I stand up or move positions too quick.
-Dang sciatic nerve pain. OUCH!
-Aversion to chicken remains. Love for Frosted Flakes & Honeycombs cereal is taking over my life :)
-Weight gain up to 7 lbs now (see love for sugar-coated cereal).
-Heart monitor was normal (What? You didn't know I had to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours which kept me from my beloved nightly bath AND a spray tan? Well, I did and it was normal).
-Down to one pair of regular jeans I can wear (thank you low-waisted style) and my beloved maternity jeggings (seriously, I live in those things). I did purchase two pairs of shorts for our upcoming beach trip, neither are maternity (thank you again low-waisted style!).
-Baby girl is apparently the size of a rutabaga (??) and weighs over 1.5 lbs.
-Rarely use my Doppler to listen to the heart beat since I can feel her move all day long. Especially in the morning & late at night. I did have one day last week where I didn't think she was moving as much and frantically used the Doppler every couple of hours. (Insert OCD joke right about here!).
-Love being pregnant this time around. Trying to soak it all in just in case we decide this little girl is the grand finale (kidding honey).
Since my little girl is just a couple of days away from 22 months (How is this happening??) here is a quick update on her little life :)
22 months...
-New favorite word is "mine." Everything is "mine" including; Amos (the dog), all drinks, balls, babydolls, books...
-Says "please" and "thank you" regularly and it makes me smile.
-Folds her little hands and closes her eyes during our prayer time before bed. So so adorable.
-Loves men (boys, teens, Dads, Grandpas, etc.) Would much rather spend her time in the middle of a group of boys than girls. A little terrified about what this means :)
-Has a short-lived love for Barney & The Wiggles (meaning she will watch for 10 minutes at a time but only if you will watch right beside her). I think The Wiggles has something to do with her love of men & singing LOL.
-High maintenance in every form of the word. I think it has something to do with the fact that she is ALL GIRL!
-Bangs have grown down to her nose which results in a head tilt to see around them. We start everyday with a bow or barrette holding them back but when she decides she is finished with the bow she means it. They are just about long enough to tuck behind her ears. She looks like such a little girl.
-Loves corn on the cob. Likes to hold it herself!
-Will only drink milk or water. Perfect little combination of her parents...Mama loves water & Daddy loves milk.
-Loves to take baths & brush her teeth before bed.
-Working on colors & numbers. She can count to 3 pretty regularly but only recognizes blue on a regular basis. Excited for her to start preschool in September!
-Talking about potty-training but she doesn't seem quite ready (won't sit on her potty without a diaper on). Goal for the summer!
-Must take a baby doll to bed every single night. Last night she even decided to skip book time so she could feed her baby a bottle in bed (I didn't make her choose she simply told me, "babybee, bottle, bed!!!).
-Having a Zoe-themed 2nd birthday party! Planning on having a very small family party since she will have just had her surgery & I will be over 8 months pregnant. Still there are invitations, decorations and a custom-made Zoe outfit to buy :) I love parties!
-Wears a size 6 in shoes and 24 months in clothes (some 2T's also).
-Weighs 27 lbs & is 32 inches tall.
-Has a temper! Especially when being told "No" or when frustrated. I see A LOT of slammed bedroom doors in my future. Sigh, GIRLS, sigh...
-Sings the words to Elmo's song (la la la LA, la la la LA)
-Favorite shoes are her pink crocs. I loathe these shoes and did not buy them for her but I have caved and let her wear them ALL THE TIME because a) she looooves them and b)they are sooo easy to get on and off. I'm even planning to buy another white pair for our beach trip (can't believe I am letting her commit this fashion offense).
And because if you've read through all MY ramblings you definitely deserve a few pictures :)
Potty training in the summer is a MILLION times easier. Less clothes which means less laundry... :)
