Sunny Days

The sun has been shining day in and day out around these parts and we aren't complaining! I mean I've never seen my two little girls more content. They love basking in the sun and getting some fresh air. We go on walks, play with sidewalk chalk, play basketball (this IS Kentucky after all), swing and just run run run around free.

I had Toby mulch in the swing set area in our backyard. We used rubber mulch that is supposed to last longer and protects our little ones should they fall while playing. I think it looks so good and is so practical! I must admit it became quite a pricey project but I think it was totally worth it.

I took Gracen outside alone one afternoon while Leighton was sleeping (4 hours and counting...) and let her try out the grass for the first time. At first she was very curious about the green stuff but then decided it was too scary! She wanted UP NOW! Leighton was the exact same way about grass when she was little. Sweet girls...

Leighton and her ice cream. The child is obsessed. I got a "frosty" card from a fast food restaurant so every time we go through the drive thru she gets a free frosty. Only child on the face of the earth who requests vanilla (taking after her Mama!).

The joy these two bring to my life never ceases to amaze me!
