Falling in LOVE with our weekends :)

Welp, it's officially almost winter. I can feel it in the freezing temps outside. Coats, mittens, hats, oh MY. Winter is a coming. Boo.

Still, I'm thankful for all the fun we've been having this fall. Our weekends have been particularly packed lately and I kinda LOVE it. We kicked off our weekend by painting pumpkins.

Leighton spent about 20 minutes painting but little Gracen spent about an HOUR on hers. Non stop painting. The child loves an art project.

On Friday, we headed to Leighton's school fall festival (or festiball as Leighton calls it). It was the first time I put the girls in their newest fall outfits (from Molly & Millie).

I think I got asked 1,347 times if they were twins at the festival. "Nope, two years apart. Yep, she's a really BIG two year old. Yep, she's tall. Her Dad is 6'5." If I said it once I said it a million times ;)

It was Leighton's weekend to take home her class stuffed animal...Spike. To say she was excited is an understatement. There were crocodile tears when we had to return him to school after the weekend. She loved having him with her at the fall festival. So many of her friends were so excited to see him out and about too :)

Saturday morning we woke up to rain and a cancelled soccer game. We slept in a bit and then headed to Lexington to visit with my friend Erika and her sweet little girls. Leighton was obsessed with baby Caroline. The baby fever is alive and running wild in our household.

Next, we headed to our next adventure...a Despicable ME birthday party for our friend Croix. Lyla was there so you know my girls were thrilled.

Lei and Lyla even had a slumber party with Aunt Ky Ky that night. Love my family.

Sunday morning we headed to church and then headed back to Louisville for Leighton's soccer game. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful afternoon.

Sunday night, the girls had their favorite babysitter, Ms. Danielle, come over while I headed to the Matthew West concert with my sister, Robyn, and nephew, Kyle. It was awesome. Sidewalk Prophets & Jason Castro opened the show and it was just a great night of worship with my family. I got the girls' tshirts with our favorite Matthew West song (at the moment). It was a great ending to a super busy (but fun fun fun) weekend.

The next few weekends are just as busy with soccer, Halloween festivities, parties and baby showers. Love it all!
