My favorite things...

So, I am going to give you a little warning that this post is going to be a little random :) But, I just want to share with you some of my favorite things at the moment.

1. Almay smart shade mousse foundation I am someone who loves make up but hates spending a lot of money on it. I have two little girls to dress and I think we all know where I like to spend my chunk of change ;) Little fashionistas are not cheap! I feel like I hit the jackpot when I found this foundation. It's smooth, goes on so easy (and not messy at all) and doesn't feel thick or heavy when it's on. It's great to smooth out my complexion imperfections and can be found so easily. I usually just add it to my grocery list when I'm running low. I apply just a few dabs all over my face and rub in and that's pretty much it! Sometimes I brush a little loose powder on top but if I'm in a rush I just skip it. It totally fits my daily 30 minute getting ready routine! LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!

2. Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer I am horrible at moisturizing my skin. Unlike my hubby who meticulously applies lotion after he gets out of the shower each morning, I feel like I just don't have the time! This is why I love this spray. I can spray it, rub in in quickly, it's not greasy at all, and GO! It takes minutes! My favorite is the coconut radiant version. It smells beachy to me and we all know I love the beach. And it's cheap! Total fave.

3. Shutterfly books. I make these for each of my girls' birthdays every year. I focus on their actual birthday (not the entire year) and I love that they will have these to look back at over the years. I typically make them and save them in my queue and then order when I have a great coupon (free shipping/50+% off/ or in the best case...Free!). The girls love looking at them and even choose them as their bedtime books some nights. Shutterfly is so user friendly and has added so many options to customize as you need.

4. Valspar paint in Dry Earth. We painted our kitchen this color a few months ago and recently just continued the color in our family room. It's the perfect neutral color that has just enough tint to bring out the accent colors in our room (sage and terra-cotta red). Plus, it's easily found at Lowe's and like $30/gallon. Easy, inexpensive way for me to change up a room.

5. Rice cakes and peanut butter. It's my new favorite snack. Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. I am a peanut butter lovah so these help me feel like I am treating myself to something sweet & creamy without all the carbs of bread and crackers. Yum.

6. Rocking my Gracen girl before bed. My little wild woman is on the go all day long so I cherish those last few cuddles she gives me before she is ready to get in her bed. I usually only get to rock her for a few minutes before she points to her crib and says, "Bed now." Even though they are short the cuddles are awfully sweet and end my day in a great way.

7. Sale racks at my favorite stores. I love shopping, especially for clothes but I hate the price tag attached to most of my favorite brands. Soooo, I always just walk straight to the sale racks in my favorite stores (JCrew, Ann Taylor, The Loft, Banana Republic & Von Maur). If I don't find anything on sale I like, I leave. Easy peasy. I manage to find great deals most of the time and if I walk away empty handed I just try again the next time. Doing this allows me to still wear the brands I love but not feel guilty about over paying for clothes for myself. Win-win. Von Maur also has some pretty good sales on clothes for the girls and Toby, too. Nothing makes me happier than a good deal :)

8. Amazon Prime. I mean, what can't you find on Amazon? I love our prime account and the free two day shipping that comes with so many items. We even buy our dog food there haha. I am pretty sure my UPS guy thinks I have an online addiction. He's at my house weekly (and sometimes daily) delivering all sorts of treats :)

9. Buying clothes for my little girls. I get asked all the time where I buy my girls' clothes. I do have to put a disclaimer out there that 90% or more of my girls' clothes come from my Mom (Grammy) or my Nanny (Great-Nanny). They are our clothes fairies and save us a ton of money ;) With that said, here are our favorite brands. Peaches n Cream, Molly & Millie, Le Top, Lolly Wolly Doodle, Little English, Kelly's Kids, Bailey Boys, Lilly Pulitzer and I have several favorite Etsy sellers I use, here and here and here and here. I also love to get play clothes from Gap and Old Navy. Oh and who could forget Zulily. So there's my clothing faves :)

10. This picture of Gracen. Really, how can this NOT be a favorite. No explanation needed :)

So there you have it! The most random list of favorites haha. Happy Thursday!
