Princess Party

I took Leighton to see the Disney Princess show this weekend with my sister, niece Lyla and Lyla's Nana. Leighton is happy to spend all of her time with Lyla when we visit Lexington. Those two are BFF's in the making.

Leighton called it the "Princess Party" and was so excited to go. We bought her a little Cinderella outfit a few weeks ago and every time she would walk past it in her room she would say, "Wearing to de Pincess Party with LYLA." Man, this is what having little girls is all about :)

I thought the show was so adorable and the costumes were beautiful. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald told the three Princess stories; Snow White, Cinderella and Belle. All were so cute but I have to be honest that Snow White is probably the most boring Princess in my opinion. Plus, her voice is just too high! I wish Ariel would have been there, I love her!

Leighton picked out a light up toy before the show started. It had all three princesses on it and was pretty cute. I am so lucky that she seemed content with her little toy. They were selling tons of junk memorabilia and it was hard to say no to her sweet little face but she never got upset. I had planned to get her the Cinderella barbie but after the show all they had was Snow White and Leighton wasn't interested in her. Of course, she had to bring her own baby Cinderella to the show. Babies must go everywhere we do :)

Leighton didn't want me to take her picture again but then sweet little Lyla said, "Aunt Mandy you can take my picture..." and then she was on board. Those two are so sweet together. I got Leighton some M&M's to eat during the show and she was so sweet sharing them with her cousin. She also gave her about a million bear hugs. Leighton loves to show love :)

The girls were so into the show. Especially Cinderella! Leighton asked me where Cinderella was the entire show. If she wasn't on stage she was concerned. This morning when she woke up for school she told me she was going to tell Ms. Trish about "Cinerwella."

There were a few times during the show she seemed bored and said she wanted to go home "pease." Two year olds are funny and mine has a short attention span. At least she was polite. I was happy I could convince her to stay lol. She enjoyed sitting in her own seat as much as she enjoyed seeing the show I think.

Both girls fell asleep on the way home. Going to a Princess Party is exhausting and our girls needed some beauty sleep :)

I can't wait until Gracen is old enough to enjoy a show with us. The only thing better than having one princess is having TWO. Life with girls is pretty sweet and just keeps getting better :)
