Let's be honest, if I don't get my thoughts out immediately they will be forever lost in pregnancy lala-land. With my pregnancy brain in FULL effect, I can't seem to remember anything these days. Including where I put our baby monitor that has been lost for a WEEK now. Toby said just last night that I have been acting a little spacey lately. I had to remind him I am growing a human being inside of me so what did he expect :)
I am FINALLY starting to feel like a more tired version of my old self and my nausea has been kept at bay for a solid week now (no puking since last Friday...can I get a hip hip hooooooray?!!). I don't have any cravings that I can think of but I do seem to have an aversion to chicken. Not that I am totally off of it but it just NEVER sounds good to me. Honestly, nothing really sounds good lately expect sweet tea & Coke but I think that's because they are on my limited list (meaning only one a day). I ALWAYS want what I can't have!!
I have gained 2 lbs to date but I feel huge! You forget how heavy carrying around a stomach is (it doesn't bend people) and my shortness of breathe just adds to the huge feeling! Otherwise, I feel pretty good. I've had some cramping here and there but when I mentioned it to my doctor she acted like it was just part of pregnancy so I haven't really been concerned with it.
All in all, pregnancy 2.0 is going pretty smooth at this point. Our baby still has no name but she does have a few new pretty outfits to hang in her closet...again, priorities people :) At this point I am hoping for a name to come to me in a dream or something because my eyes have literally crossed from looking through the baby books and online sites. I think I like a name and then I suddenly remember someone or something the name reminds me of and I.just.can't.commit. Sigh...
I AM thisclose to committing to a nursery set but have backed out of the original furniture I wanted (what is wrong with me this time??) so it's back to square one with that. I was totally ready to buy a shower curtain for the girls bathroom I found at a little boutique a couple of weeks ago but when I went to order it I realized it was $150! Apparently, I can't even remember to look at prices when out shopping these days! I'm not totally ruling it out but I am going to look around for a few more options before I buy. I'm pretty certain I can find one I like just as much for less!
My little girl is quite the mover and kicks all day long. I have to say this is BY FAR my favorite part of pregnancy and makes all the other not so pleasant side effects worthwhile. I can't believe we have clearly passed the half-way mark and have just under 18 weeks left!
And just to prove that this is in fact my second pregnancy, I present you with the VERY FIRST belly picture :) Pregnancy with a toddler is much more chaotic!!
Happy Sunday everyone!
Mooser -- like I said, you are SO dang gorgeous -- you actually epitomize "cute preggo woman" :) We are going to come down Labor Day weekend hopefully so it's not too long after baby #2 is born that Auntie Sis gets to meet her and see you and the Daniel clan. I love the pics of Sesame Street live, BTW. Bobby CRACKS up every time he sees Lei's 'straight face' -- love you and LOVE the blog. Please keep it coming ;)
