Ramblings...

Oops, I've been MIA again. This blogging thing is work :) We've had a pretty eventful week around here. First, WE HAVE A NAME!!! I'm not quite ready to share it with the internet and anyone who has criticisms but we are happy still! Second, I ordered the BEDDING! I scrapped my original nursery design all together and went with a much softer, feminine and, cough, more expensive decor. Hey, you only have a second girl once right ;) I'll share pictures when it arrives next week!

We also took Miss Leighton to see her new cardiologist/surgeon who is going to take care of her pesky PDA murmur she has had since birth. After meeting with him & discussing the surgery in detail (she qualifies to have it done in the cath lab) we went ahead and put it on the books for late June. As much as I dread this day, I am also ready to get it done and move on. I know I have a LOT more thoughts on the subject but right now I am just thankful for her new surgeon, a wonderful children's hospital and a heart condition that CAN be fixed relatively easily. Thanking God for those blessings today!

After her appointment yesterday, I took Miss Leighton for a little retail therapy at our favorite Target (okay, I'll admit I was the one in need of some therapy). After being such a good girl while shopping, she got a very special treat on the way out...a cotton candy smoothie!

At first she didn't know what to think.

But, after one sip she was sold!

And, best of all, I found a way for her to keep her clothes ON in the car :)

Wish us luck, we are heading to Lexington for a day at the races and Lei is headed for a day with her Grammy! Hoping the rain stays away! This pregnant girl can already hear the soft serve ice cream cone calling her name!
